Rodale Joins U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leaders Partnership

—Membership Underscores Company’s Efforts to Reduce Impact on the Global Environment—
EMMAUS, PA and NEW YORK, NY, May 11, 2009 — Rodale Inc. today announced its partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Leaders, an industry-government program that works with companies to develop comprehensive climate change strategies. As a member of Climate Leaders, Rodale commits to the development of comprehensive greenhouse gas reduction goals over the next decade.

Through its membership, Rodale will complete an inventory of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions based on EPA protocol, document an inventory management plan, and develop GHG reduction goals to be implemented over the next ten years. The company will document its progress through third party sources and report to the EPA annually.
