New York, NY, January 26, 2011—Rodale Inc. today announced that Allison Hobson Falkenberry has been promoted to Vice President, Brand and Digital Communications, effective immediately. In this expanded role, she will lead all of Rodale’s corporate, brand, book, International and digital media relations efforts. Falkenberry reports to Gregg Michaelson, President, Integrated Marketing & Sales and Chief Marketing Officer.

Previously, Falkenberry served as AVP, Brand Communications, where she led the consumer and trade media relations efforts for all Rodale brands, including Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Prevention, Bicycling, Runner’s World and Organic Gardening. She also served as Executive Director of Communications at Men’s Health where she was named to PR News’ “PR Professional of the Year” list and was a part of the highly successful team that launched Women’s Health. Prior to Rodale, Falkenberry worked at Sports Illustrated, GOLF and SKI magazines. She started her publicity career with Fox Searchlight Pictures in New York.
Falkenberry received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She resides in Manhattan.
