Rodale Inc. Names Tim Kennedy General Manager, Rodale.com and Rodale News Network

Emmau, PA, and New York, NY, January 6, 2011—Rodale Inc. today announced that Tim Kennedy has been named General Manager, Rodale.com and Rodale News Network. In this role, Kennedy will oversee sales, marketing and content for Rodale.com and help build the Rodale News Network, a new initiative created to maximize the value of Rodale’s world-class health, wellness and environmental news information. Kennedy will work closely with all Rodale properties, including Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Prevention, Bicycling, Runner’s World and Organic Gardening and report to Gregg Michaelson, President, Integrated Marketing & Sales and CMO of Rodale, effective immediately.

“We continue to add talent, invest in our digital strategy and change our organization for the future,” said Michaelson. “Tim’s experience will be of immediate benefit to our newer initiatives as well as our established brands. He understands the importance of editorial excellence and has a track record of success in digital media.”

Before joining Rodale, Kennedy was President, Publisher and CEO of The Morning Call newspaper based in Allentown, Pa. Under Kennedy’s leadership, The Morning Call enjoyed success and recognition for editorial excellence and expanding digital businesses.

Prior to his post at The Morning Call, Kennedy served in a variety of management and business development roles with Tribune Company. Kennedy is an active leader in the Lehigh Valley and serves as a board member for numerous not-for-profit community organizations. He lives in Saucon Valley, PA with his wife and three children. Kennedy holds an M.B.A. from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. from Western Michigan University.
