Rodale Appoints Katharine (Katie) Ziga As Executive Director, Business Manager For Rodale Books

New York, NY, May 15, 2008—Rodale announced today the appointment of Katharine (Katie) Ziga as Executive Director and Business Manager for Rodale Books, effective May 19. Katie will be responsible for developing, assessing, and managing financial activities, including acquisitions, auctions, and branded extensions, for Rodale's Books group. She will report to Howard Weill, Rodale's SVP of Finance and Operations.

"Katie has an outstanding track record and strong financial management expertise," said Weill. "Her sound business judgment and leadership skills will benefit us as we continue to grow our books business."

Previously, Katie was director of business operations for the Random House Information Group, where she oversaw financial activities for six publishing units. Prior to her tenure at Random House, Katie was manager of financial planning and analysis at Golden Books Family Entertainment. She also worked as a senior and staff accountant at Price Waterhouse L.L.P. A certified public accountant, Katie earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.
