Meyercord To Lead Rodale International

New York, NY, January 14, 2008 -- Rodale announced today that Michelle Meyercord has been named Vice President and Director of Rodale International. In her newly expanded role, Meyercord will be responsible for all aspects of Rodale International's efforts, including editorial, global business development, and marketing. Meyercord will report to Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development Eric DeCavaignac. Previously, she was Vice President, Business Development and Marketing for Rodale International.

"Michelle has planted the flag in many new territories for the Rodale brands and has built great relationships with many of our partners. We are very pleased to have her step into this leadership role," said Steven Pleshette Murphy, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rodale, who made the appointment.

Since joining Rodale in 2002, Meyercord has spearheaded Rodale International's development efforts with over 20 new editions and 10 new markets, including China, India, Brazil, and South Korea. In 2007, Rodale's expansion efforts included online development in key markets, new markets for Men's Health, Runner's World, and Prevention and the launch plans for Women's Health worldwide starting with Australia and Latin America.

Prior to joining Rodale, Meyercord worked for Primedia International from 2000 to 2002. Meyercord joined Primedia International after working for About.com from 1999 to 2000 in Development and Marketing. Before joining About.com, Meyercord worked for Arnell Group Consulting from 1998 to 1999. Meyercord also worked at the White House, where she served as Executive Assistant to Rahm Emanuel and Senior Advisor to President Clinton from 1994 to 1998. Meyercord graduated from Duke University in 1991.
